The Lockdown Diary - DAY 58

Posted 21st May 2020 at 23:02 by Cormack
Hot. Stepped into the garden for a while and felt better for it. Having a bit of a cagey week and a bit of sun on my back does no harm.

The dog came out with me and as I was lying down, I could feel her at my feet but couldn't fathom what she was doing. I looked around and there she was doing that back roll/shuffle thing that dogs do and high four-and-fiving me as she did.

For fully five minutes. She clearly enjoyed the sun too.

The Lockdown Diary - DAY 57

A quiet day, murky and although I got a bit done, still a bit flat from the day before. Nice to see the weather perk up later as I'd like to get a bit of sun about now.

Not the original Beatles version, but more than passable.

Stay well

Unwell on the completion of Week 8.

Was up a lot of the night before, a bit off, and hadn't slept much so needed to catch up, which I did in the afternoon somewhat. Was on limited rations as a result, even took a couple of paracetamol as the day wore on.

Still have a sense of humour, mind.

That was two-thirds of the way (for now)

Stay well

The Lockdown Diary - DAY 55

#55 was a late starter for all after the meeting at Backroom Downs.

The interesting thing about the sweets for conversion was that the entire tub of chews and minis was demolished on this day. Of the ridiculous number of pieces that had been in it (approaching 100), I got the sum total of one.

I counted it. Twice. Oh the greed, the greed...

Twix brownies and race night.

A further bonus in that the cinder toffee (apparently a Welsh term; the English call it Hokey Pokey. Apparently England is easily confused with New Zealand and I was Welsh in the 70s in particular) is a firm favour with all, including Mrs C, who isn't a big chocolate fan but does love the more routine jellies and sugar-based stuff.

Easy dad points there, then.

The Twix brownies have come out really well, possibly the most...
