A day that was to a degree the reverse of the day before. Started well enough, IT grief made work an unnecessary pill and taxed me more than I would have been if it had been routinely available.

Got my bit of sun, made Mrs C a lasagne that could win awards and had Steak with a capital S, it was such an event

Spent the day with Jimmy Cliff wheeling away in the kitchen. Not actually (how great would that be? I'd make him a sea bass if he did) but he has a big back...

Back to the day on which events happened, largely because events didn't happen. Nod to DS, FTE and WM, whose sharpshooting keeps the US racing winnings ticking over nicely. I got to follow most of it, as you'll now see.

The huge tea I had last night plotted and exercised a brutal but essentially superficial revenge on me to the point that I didn't get to sleep until around 6am. Took the day off work to catch up as there would be a kipping deficit somewhere, and it turned up late...

Started the day that was bathed in sunshine but without the blowiness of the day before by cooking breakfast, post early work, listening to Ska with Alexa. Gave the day a real lift, proper summer feel and something to bounce around to.

Another quiet day of settled routine. Kids are back online schooling so I've been in demand for some maths and biology.

Later on, I threw a basketball around the garden, my daughter joining in. I came to two conclusions
(i) I have done some damage to my shoulder over the last few weeks, I know not how
(ii) Basketball is not my game. I can throw a football to the near post minimum when I don't have one arm and a whelk but I can't hit a basket from fifteen feet....

The completion of Week 4. I now have trustee status and have been given a job in the library.

For once had a bit of work about that needed immediate (not in the disaster sense) attention, but that was merely a half hour. Had a gab online with a colleague who is also shielding, bit of work and water cooler chat, which was as pleasant as it was welcome - odd to think we haven't seen each other in over a month and won't for at least another two. That goes the same for other colleagues...
