The Lockdown Diary - DAY 29
Posted 22nd April 2020 at 14:42 by Cormack
Another quiet day of settled routine. Kids are back online schooling so I've been in demand for some maths and biology.
Later on, I threw a basketball around the garden, my daughter joining in. I came to two conclusions
(i) I have done some damage to my shoulder over the last few weeks, I know not how
(ii) Basketball is not my game. I can throw a football to the near post minimum when I don't have one arm and a whelk but I can't hit a basket from fifteen feet.
Sea bass curry last night, never disappoints. Mrs C went out to pick up my prescription and ranted to me on the phone about how the chemist is a 'glorified shopkeeper' who'd forgotten the order was in, didn't have 100s but wouldn't give two 50s and advised she goes into the doctor's next door when the whole point of the online submission and electronic dispensing is to keep us out of the surgery - doctor's idea and a perfectly good one. She was going to feed back a complaint using the phrase 'glorified shopkeeper'. She has a sense of the comic even in fury, it was like a Robb Wilton monologue.
Doing OK.
Stay well
