The Lockdown Diary - DAY 21
Posted 13th April 2020 at 19:40 by Cormack
No text, no news from hospital, mother and daughter in the garden going brutal again, I finished off my Ship in a Bottle and am on KP as ever. Pleasant again, got out and put out a bit of washing then came in and made myself pretty. Boat build here.
Which as ever is a really satisfying build. Unusual features and decent block component brick and glasswork balance it out nicely, recommended. Was a leaving present from some ex-colleagues a year or two back - I also got a bottle of Mount Gay from others and I am now wondering, with the kitchen work, am I Long John Silver? James Bond Aston Martin to follow.
The dog has had fun running about in and out the house and ferreting about the garden but still looks at me like a bailiff if I ever put on a change of top or slippers - it's been exactly three weeks of course since we were last out as a team.
Food today is comfort stuff, we're taking it easy. I'm going to have a burger (have hankered for a shop-bought pie for the last couple of days, tbh, but have no outlet) as is the boy, and mother and daughter are both set in their ways but easy to feed. Put in a couple of light bulbs that needed putting in, I have settled into this routine surprisingly well, although I'd imagine the sunshine exposure helps. I've also lost a fair bit of weight. Fish is the way to go.
Stay well
