The Lockdown Diary - DAY 46
Posted 9th May 2020 at 11:05 by Cormack
A Bank Holiday, so a day where you can legitimately do nothing and not feel as if you should be somewhere and doing something, although I'd like the option? Mrs C and the kids went bike-happy again and went out early (Mrs C on foot with the dog) and later, daughter and Mrs C on their bikes while son sat it out - tbh that was so mum could borrow his bike rather than maintain one of the others at short notice, and they'd have slowed him down.
Naturally, I had to arrange the ins and outs of the bikes from the garage. Now I know how Jimmy Greaves felt in '66 - stuck on the sidelines, itching to go but excluded, and still having to do the graft on behalf of everyone who gets to go to the big show.
Recommended listening - Wings, Band on the Run
They're only the band the Beatles could have been. The survivors on the album cover are now down to Parky, John Conteh, Denny Laine and the animatronic Paul McCartney they now use to clear the crowd and send them home after any public gathering.
Felt nauseous later in the afternoon/evening and had to have a post-paracetamol kip. Woke up at 4am, ravenous. Have hake stood over to #47, which is a pleasant development, especially as #47 is also Brownie Day.
Stay well
