The late show again, and it appears to be a facet, not of me, but of the rest of the household sleeping a lot later, the day kickstarting a lot later and my crashing out a lot earlier.

Sunday dinner I went full-on 'Kitchen Nightmare' but not in the Ramsey/Florida basket case and redemption way. I cooked a roast with roasters, veg and gravy, a full pasta bake, sauce and white sauce with other veg, and stove-top chicken, curry and rice. Three different main methods, four sauces, three...

Very late update for Saturday. Everyone seems to have settled into a routine and although it was wet yesterday, it was biscuits and brownies again - used Fudges for the variation and made them into half sized bites. Daughter stepped into more parts of the job and again performed really well. Haven't launched the Lego and we had after-the-match pie, mash and gravy. That there was no match is not something over which I have control

Another late update today for yesterday's silver jubilee - crashed out last night after an epic curry with chilli, coconut and cod.

The last day of sun was marked by us getting the band back together and all being in the garden for a bit. Had a bit of a kickabout with my son while Mrs C tended the borders. Picked up a brish and made an obligatory 'sweeper' joke that they didn't see coming - lockdown has dulled their edge way too much.

Late addition for yesterday as it was much like Day 23 but for a slightly different dynamic.

Mrs C decided that a couple of days from the monitor while the kids are at home and the sun is out would be worthwhile use of her time. Consequently, she had a mummy-daughter day (that doesn't work so well without alliteration) with sprinklings of son - garden games, phone memes, tidying up the weekend's work, film night. They needed that, I think - it's one thing when you are having expected...

Bit of a Day 7 today. Food delivery with very few items unavailable, made a mac and cheese which I rarely do but Mrs C loves and which I had myself and it was tidy and I'm not talking to the dog because she launched into a bite (stopped herself as she was about to sink in) late last night because I was playing air guitar to Won't Get Fooled Again as it rang out at the start of CSI somewhere or other.

Nice piece of the insane value bet that DS put up on the ITV7 distances - FWIW there...
