The Lockdown Diary - DAY 49

Posted 12th May 2020 at 22:40 by Cormack
Was off work on #49 and had a quiet time. Limited pinch-hitting teacher and cookhouse duty as a usual.

Had a Simpsons lifeboat episode moment when I knocked over a Doom Bar pint glass which bounced fully six times without breaking and then at the point you thought it was going to settle, SMASH! I'll have...

The Lockdown Diary - DAY 48

Son's kitchen skills are now developing in the same way as daughter's - they're both starting effectively from scratch but are now doing what were novel basics as routine basics. They still clean no dishes, no pans, no eating irons, no utensils. I'll accept that.

For now.

Naturally, I had to arrange the ins and...

The Lockdown Diary - DAY 45

Posted 8th May 2020 at 15:13 by Cormack
I have outlasted Brian Clough's tenure at Leeds.

I had a bad, no, an off night on #44 and so was unable to sleep until late on. Nothing extravagant, just a blip that would affect me come the morning. Caught up a couple of hours' sleep mid-afternoon after getting a bit of work out the way and prepared for a four-day weekend.

Son asked me what happens if he's set work by school on the Bank Holiday. My reply which amused him was 'you won't see it because you're off'....
