Sunday July 27 - DAY 125
Another intra-club game, 40 overs and I did the Wendy Wimbushing again. I could get used to that, I must admit. Went to the wire again, son dragged on after getting a start and a very pleasant way to spend an afternoon.
Recommended listening - The Monkees, Pleasant Valley Sunday
Mum moved and we got a telly down to her, the situation continues to evolve but she’s responding well to physio in that the exercises they’ve given her “I do anyway”. They had a party on the ward for someone’s birthday in the week. I’d sent in sandwiches (#121, Red Cross package) on request and it seems I make a good one as she split them with a neighbour and they both devoured with gusto. I already knew I could make a sandwich, of course…. Apparently the chef will put together a cake on request for the ward and this he did and did to a good standard, no skimping, which is a nice touch.
Shielding is up in a few days...
