The Lockdown Diary - DAY 62

CHIP DAY! and race night.
Everyone started off with a latish brunch which allowed me to get started on the chips (fryer cleaned late on the night before) and kill two birds with one stone.
I make a good chip. It's not a huge boast but it is true.
Did a running buffet before starting the meeting, the last race was a Plumpton hurdle, shout out to the regulars on this forum and once again, although I did get a leg in, I emptied my own pockets with a Hail Mary in the last. Daughter played conservatively 'to accrue sweets', son hit a couple of decent returns and but for no luck in the last two, could almost have emptied the sweet tub. Mrs C also accrued conseratively with slightly more success than youngest and everyone left the table suitably sugared up and content. A good evening.
Recommended listening - Stereophonics, Dakota
Eldest came out the biggest winner on both race nights, so as his 'anthem' on the rostrum, there's the song that was No.1 when he was born.
Have noticed that if I don't have a sing in the kitchen, my mood slumps, and that starts a spiral. Nothing like being a bit ill to ignite that fuse as well. So...
Stay well
